Seeking

At Grace Church we seek God in many ways.  Below is a summary of the various ways we come before the Lord:

Worship of God "in the beauty of holiness." The rich and beautiful language of the Book of Common Prayer combined with music and art in praise of God's love for us. We offer worship in many forms and times.

Holy Eucharist - This is the focal point of our life together.  It is offered to God with all the creativity and devotion we can muster.

Daily office - Provides two daily times to be in God's presence.  Often times these services are led by trained lay ministers or the Grace Church Clergy.  Call the parish office for dates and times.

Mass and Healing Service - The congregation intercedes for the sick and the Sacrament of Unction is offered by the clergy.  Call the parish office for dates and times.

Prayer Vigils - Prayer Vigils are offered the night before the six great feasts of the church year and allow time for quiet reflection, intercession and adoration.  Call the parish office for dates and times.

Special Liturgies - Special Liturgies, such as Stations of the Cross, Ecumenical Palm Sunday Celebration and Corpus Christi, attract our "wider congregation" across the Diocese and across denominations.  As the Psalmist says, "worship God in the beauty of holiness".  Call the parish office for dates and times.

Vespers and Benediction - Vespers and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament are offered occasionally and are intended as an aid to deepening our devotion and adoration of God through the use of chant, silence, darkness and candlelight.  Call the parish office for dates and times.

Liturgical Leadership - Leadership takes place at many levels, from a "boat boy" to mature adults acting as readers and liturgical sub-deacons.  God is our "audience" at worship, all of us are participants.

Prayer Groups - Grace offers prayer groups to suit all "sorts and conditions" of people.  Our intercessory prayer groups meet weekly to pray for those persons and causes in need of God's grace. Our prayer chain, an extension of the intercessory prayer groups, communicates immediate needs in emergency situations and to the general congregation as needed.

"Brothers" - Grace Church Men's Ministry

"Sisters" - Grace Church Women's Ministry who's goal is to encourage and inspire women in their faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.  Meetings are once a month alternating between the Mt. Washington and Edgeworth sites.  Call the parish office for dates and times.
